Havana, Jul 2 (RHC) - The president of the Cuban Sports Institute (Inder), Osvaldo Vento, today congratulated all sports communicators on the International Day of Sports Journalists.

Vento, through the social network X, expressed:

"On the International Day of Sports Journalists, congratulations to those who make this work an expression of ethics and professionalism".

Every July 2, since 1995, the International Day of Sports Journalists has been commemorated to pay tribute to the communication professionals who focus their activity on the world of sport through their information in the press, in all its forms.

The initiative was born from the International Sports Press Association (AIPS, for its Spanish acronym), in order to emphasize the work of these information professionals who give visibility and promotion to sport on a daily basis.
