Marco Rubio, the U.S. Secretary of State, in his unhealthy obsession with destroying the Cuban Revolution, has in his hands a file imposing “sanctions” on Havana’s Malecón seawall for having been built along that capital city avenue and for preventing the entry of supposed U.S. Marines in a presumed Yankee invasion of Cuba.
Although this note sounds deranged, ridiculous, and characteristic of the sensationalist media that misinforms the public in the United States, and especially in Miami, it does reflect the reality of the hybrid war that Rubio has launched against the island since he took office as Secretary of State of the decadent Yankee empire.
According to the definition, yellow journalism is a type of journalism that presents news with sensational, scandalous, or exaggerated headlines to try to increase sales, even though these stories generally lack evidence (or have very little) and are poorly researched.
Not a day goes by without this uncontrollable mythomaniac (as described in a recent book published in Cuba and several other countries about this sinister figure) imposing aggressive extortion, euphemistically called “sanctions,” against individuals, companies, and anything that smacks of the Cuban people’s and government’s determination to preserve the island’s independence and sovereignty.
Recently, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla defined the empire’s constant and aggressive measures against the island as “a crime” and called Rubio “dishonest and mendacious.”
“The United States government, led by its dishonest and mendacious Secretary of State, continues to tighten the noose around Cuba’s economy, as Cuba has proven stronger, more capable, and more effective than he expected in the face of the ruthless aggression and collective punishment against its people and their living conditions,” the Foreign Minister wrote on his Twitter account.
In recent days, the U.S. Secretary of State announced his decision to “add five Cuban entities to the sanctions list,” which, he claimed, generate revenue for the island nation.
According to the American mythomaniac, the restrictions target companies “linked to the transfer of financial and material resources” to the Cuban conglomerate Grupo de Administración Empresarial S.A. (GAESA), as well as companies involved in the extraction and processing of mineral resources.
The State Department specified that the measures affect the logistics company Almacenes Universales S.A., as well as the financial institution RAFIN S.A. and Banco Financiero Internacional, S.A., which, according to Rubio, maintains ties with GAESA.
In addition, the mining company GEOMINERA S.A. and the steel company Empresa Siderúrgica José Martí (Antillana de Acero) were added to the sanctions lists.
It is worth recalling that after the January 3rd attack on Venezuela and the illegal kidnapping of its legitimate president, Nicolás Maduro, and his wife, Cilia Flores, the convicted president Donald Trump signed an executive order on January 29th prohibiting the sale of oil to Cuba, under threat of severe sanctions against any country that does so.
The measure exacerbated the fuel shortage in the Caribbean nation, affecting electricity generation, transportation, food production, healthcare, and education.
Just a few days ago, the president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, perfectly described this individual when he stated: “The head of US diplomacy, Marco Rubio, is a ‘mortal enemy’ of several Latin American countries.”
