Cuba’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations celebrated the 66th anniversary of the founding of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDRs) on Sunday, in an event led by Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla.
According to the Mission’s Facebook page, the event highlighted the organization’s history, which is inextricably linked to the defense of social achievements, sovereignty, and national independence.
The gathering reaffirmed the determination to continue defending Cuba’s right to sovereignly determine its present and future within the multilateral arena.
Participants denounced the intensification of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States and its impact on the Cuban population.
It was emphasized that this commitment would continue to guide the work of revolutionary diplomacy in international forums.
