Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Organization Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, has congratulated the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDRs) on the occasion of its 66th anniversary.
Writing on his Facebook profile, Morales Ojeda highlighted that the CDRs constitute an organization born of the people and for the people, playing a historic role in defending revolutionary achievements, maintaining vigilance, fostering solidarity, and carrying out community work.
“Happy anniversary, CDRs! Today we celebrate the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, an organization born of the people and for the people,” the leader wrote in his message posted on the digital platform.
The Central Committee’s Organization Secretary emphasized that, since their founding, the CDRs have cultivated awareness and commitment on every block and in every neighborhood across Cuba, strengthening unity and popular participation.
Morales Ojeda stated that, in complex times, it is vital to preserve the founding legacy of the historic leader of the Revolution, Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, and to strengthen the organization within the neighborhoods.
“On this anniversary, we reaffirm that neighborhood unity is the strength that sustains us,” he expressed in his post.
The political leader concluded his message by acknowledging the CDR members: “Congratulations, CDR members! May unity, the example set, and love for the Revolution and for Cuba continue to grow.”
