Most of those present in the large room of the UN General Assembly were stunned and others were enraged when the new devil of the world, the convicted American president Donald Trump, filled the room with hatred and sulfur.
At that moment, with Trump’s disastrous speech, the United Nations became a treacherous field of war, contrary to serving, as its founding statutes propose, as an organization to preserve peace between peoples.
The narcissistic president, who has suffered a military defeat in his unjustified war against the Persian nation, said that “an agreement will be reached with that country beneficial to the United States, or I annihilate the Islamic Republic…and drag them to hell with no possibility of survival and no hope of future greatness or of coming generations.”
With his usual arrogance and relying on his well-known threats, he added: «Our economy is the envy of the world. Our Armed Forces are the most powerful in the world. Our technology is unrivaled and we are leaders in virtually everything…our nation is growing, our power is expanding, our country is doing better than ever and our future is very, very promising.”
For analysts, his statements have nothing to do with reality since the United States economy is not doing well with a debt of more than 40 billion dollars; deficit in fuel reserves; destroying its sophisticated military equipment in Iran, as well as imposing fragile right-wing allied governments through fraud, threats and aggression.
His bravado increased in tone when he referred to the military attack he carried out against Venezuela on January 3, which caused one hundred deaths (including 32 Cubans) and the legitimate president of the Bolivarian nation Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores were kidnapped.
“To the victor belongs the spoils” (“Winner takes all”) when referring to the sneaky agreement signed with Caracas to take over more than 65 million barrels of oil. Apparently, he also wanted to establish among the attendees his opinion that he is above any law or international organization.
Later, his resentment against Cuba spewed from the podium.
“Our actions in Venezuela are proof of our military power, and I am willing to use it without equal to ensure their interests in Latin America. These interests involve a change of regime in Cuba, where the communist government will fall.”
This caveman added that “the (Cuban) communist regime is under strong pressure, the strongest it has ever known” in reference to the oil blockade and the sanctions against the island’s government.
As expected, and faced with such unfounded lies, the Cuban delegation stood up and walked out of the hall.
In his account on X, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez, firmly rejected Trump’s words by declaring that:
“The United States Government is incapable of accepting that Cuba is and has the right to be a fully sovereign and independent country. None of the US President’s falsehoods at the UN and no slander can or will deny that fact. Cuba is not a threat to the United States or any country. The economic blockade, including the energy blockade, does threaten Cuba and the rest of the nations. It is an act of genocide and collective punishment. We are a country of peace and we deserve peace.”
Minutes after Trump’s crazy speech, the Cuban president stated in his account Lying is the resource of those who refuse to accept the right to self-determination of the Cuban people.
“We will continue to fight for peace, defend our sovereignty and work together to overcome the ruthless aggression imposed on us by the American government. Cuba is not a threat, the blockade is.”
Undeniably, once again, the United States filled the United Nations General Assembly with hatred and spread sulfur distilled by the devil, as the Bolivarian President Hugo Chávez once said.
