Havana, September 19 (RHC) – Barcelona beat Sevilla 1-3 to remain the only undefeated club after seven rounds of LaLiga and maintain their undisputed leadership with 21 points.
On Tuesday, Real Madrid salvaged a dramatic 3-2 victory away to Elche and, with 15 points, will look to close the gap on Barcelona on Sunday when they face Atlético de Madrid in the derby.
Although it’s still early in the season, as is often the case, the race for La Liga seems to be between Barcelona and Real Madrid. Atlético also secured a resounding victory on Wednesday, and a win in the derby would see them overtake Real Madrid and reach 16 points.
Barcelona’s strength lies in their potent attack, while Real Madrid once again showed signs of weakness. After Sunday, Barcelona will be the biggest beneficiary, widening the gap with the team that loses the derby.
