Havana, Jun 12 (RHC) Today, Cuban triple jumper Leyanis Pérez won first place at the Oslo meeting, the sixth stop of the Diamond League track and field circuit, and took revenge on Jamaican Shanieka Ricketts, winner in Rome.

Perez, world indoor champion in Nanjing 2025, achieved a mark of 14.72 meters to relegate Ricketts (14.57), who surpassed her last week in Rome, to second place.

The Cuban representative started the event at Bislett Stadium with a miss, then scored 14.18 in the second attempt and the winning mark in the third.

American Jasmine More finished third with 14.41 meters, followed by Cuba's Liadamis Povea (14.31), and Dominica's Olympic champion, Thea Lafond, with 14.26 meters.

The current queen of the indoor track and field added eight points in the Diamond League ranking and with 15, she appears third behind Ricketts (23) and Lafond (17).

In the men's triple jump, Cuba's Lazaro Martinez cleared 16.91 meters to take fourth place. The podium was occupied by Jamaican Jordan Scott with a personal best of 17.34 meters, escorted by Cuban-born Portuguese Pedro Pablo Pichardo (17.06) and German Max Heb (16.96).
