Bogota, April 11 (RHC)-- The death toll from the floods and mudslides in the southern Colombian city of Mocoa has risen to 315 according to the coroner's office said. The latest report from the coroner's office said that 103 of the 173 people reported missing have still not been accounted for by officials.
Of the people killed in the natural disaster, 190 were women and 124 were men, and one individual whose gender could not be determined also died in the floods and mudslides.
The natural disaster was triggered by torrential rains on March 31st that caused the Mocoa, Sangoyaco and Mulatos Rivers to overflow their banks and devastate several neighborhoods.
