Havana, May 10 (ACN) The National Women's Boxing Championship finished at the Rafael Fortun multipurpose hall in the city of Camaguey, with the victory of the Santiago de Cuba squad, with 27 points, followed by Villa Clara (13) and Havana (10), in a lineup marked by several rematches.

Dinaiby de las Nieves, from Cienfuegos, in the 50 kilograms (kg) division, defeated Yailena Palomo, from Matanzas, 3-0, and took revenge for the setback suffered in the discussion of the scepter of the last edition.

In the clash with the greatest boxing exchange, Havana's Magda Massó took revenge by 3-0 against Julianne Díaz, from Guantánamo, who put her straight punches well in the first round, but the Havana native hit with more precision in the second and third rounds, to get the victory.

In addition, Melany Girado, from Villa Clara, defeated Yesi Oviedo, from Camagüey, by RSC-1, and signed her third consecutive national gold.

The best bout of the competition was the final match in the + 66 kg division between Dayira Mesa from Santiago de Cuba and Yoana Rodriguez from Havana, two of the three Cuban representatives to the last world championship in the Serbian city of Nis.
