Cuba's Foreign Minister highlights the inclusive dialogue between the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the European Union (EU)

Havana, Oct 27 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez highlighted Thursday from Argentina, that with the working sessions of the III Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the European Union (EU) the inclusive bi-regional dialogue restarts.

 

On the social network, Twitter the head of Cuban diplomacy stressed the importance of advancing relations between the two regions based on respect for the United Nations Charter, International Law, and the postulates of the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace.

 

At the meeting, the Minister expressed his appreciation for the historical position of these regions against the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba, and recalled that "this unjust and illegal policy has been intensified extremely, inflicting greater damage on the Cuban people".

 

The Cuban Foreign Minister also acknowledged the rejection expressed by CELAC and by Josep Borrell, EU High Representative, to the inclusion of the Antillean nation in the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism.

 

The III Meeting of Foreign Ministers of CELAC and the EU is part of the work agenda of the XXIII Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States which began the day before in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to discuss issues related to the post-pandemic economic recovery, the anti-corruption agenda, and dialogue with extra-regional partners.
