Nine Cubans in Athletic Meet in Trinidad and Tobago

Havana, May 2, (RHC), -- A total of nine Cubans athletes arrived today in Trinidad and Tobago to take part in the International Twilight Games athletic competition.

Yordan O Farrill and Jhoanis Portilla, participants in the World Championship Indoors Sopot 2014 in the 110 meters hurdles race, lead the Caribbean nation's team.

The list also includes Osmany Laffita (javelin), Robert Skyers (200 meters), Yoandys Lescay (400), Jorge Felix Liranzo (800), Yaniuvis Lopez (shot put), Gilda Casanova (400) and Arialis Gandulla (100).

The meet serves as preparation for the Cubans ahead of the Central American and Caribbean Games in Veracruz, Mexico, next November.
