Managua, June 7 (RHC)-- The Nicaraguan Ministry of the Interior, MIGOB, sent a message of congratulations to the Cuban Ministry of the Interior, MININT, which on Saturday celebrated 59 years of its foundation.

The letter, signed by María Amelia Coronel, head of MIGOB, and published by the government portal El 19 Digital, is addressed to her Cuban colleague in the MININT, Vice Admiral Julio César Gandarilla.

"We congratulate the commanders, men and women members of the MININT forces who, together with the Cuban people and its leadership, are the guarantors of the security of the Revolution," the note states in one of its paragraphs.

"Our eternal recognition to the heroes and martyrs (of the institution) for the example of dedication and work for the achievement of peace and tranquility of the Cuban people who march towards new victories," concludes the message.

The relations between both institutions date back to the beginning of the triumphant Popular Sandinista Revolution, on July 19, 1979.
