Havana, October 10 (RHC)-- Army General Raúl Castro Ruz and the President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, sent floral offerings to patriots Carlos Manuel de Céspedes and José Martí, which were deposited before the monument that holds their remains in the Santa Ifigenia cemetery in Santiago de Cuba.

This October 10th -- the 152nd anniversary of the beginning of our emancipatory struggles -- flowers from the president of the National Assembly of People's Power, Esteban Lazo Hernández, and the people of Cuba also arrived at the tombs of the founders of the Revolution.

The main party and government authorities of Santiago de Cuba and other leaders of the territory visited the cemetery to pay tribute to Mariana Grajales, La Madre de la Patria (the Mother of the Homeland), and to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.
