Seventeen Countries Confirmed for Tropico 2016 Convention in Havana

Havana, May 7 (RHC-PL)-- Delegates from 17 countries will participate in the 5th Convention Tropico 2016, dedicated to the Environment World Day (June 5th), according to the president of the organizing committee, Jorge Angel Luis Machin.

The convention will be attended by 169 foreign participants from Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador, Chile, Uruguay, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Spain, the United States, Italy and Panama.

Luis Machin, also director of the Institute of Tropical Geography, said that Cuba will be represented by 200 delegates from all provinces of this country to discuss issues related to the tropics.

According to the program, the Convention includes an exhibition fair, as well as the 5th Congress on Tropical Geography, 5th Congress on Tropical Agriculture, 4th Congress on Biodiversity and Tropical Ecology and 4th Congress on Tropical Meteorology.
