Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and President of the Republic, along with Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization, participated this Wednesday in the event held at the Central Committee, headquarters of the party organization, to endorse the My Signature for the Homeland process.
According to the institution’s Facebook page, directors and employees of the Central Committee signed the initiative, which extends throughout the country. As Díaz-Canel stated on April 16, the 65th anniversary of the proclamation of the socialist character of the Revolution, this initiative should become a national and international solidarity movement that disseminates the truth about Cuba and denounces the consequences of the blockade and the multidimensional economic war, exacerbated by the energy embargo.
The “My Signature for the Homeland” process is conceived as a campaign of political and social reaffirmation, intended to express citizens’ commitment to defending national sovereignty and the historical continuity of the Revolution.
The signature represents support, unity, and the will to preserve independence in the face of any external threat.
This initiative also constitutes an exercise in mobilization and institutional communication that links historical memory with the political present, projecting into the future the conviction that defending the Homeland is the duty and honor of all, and consolidating itself as a symbol of national cohesion and collective will to maintain the dignity and peace of the country.
