Kailín Garrido and Maykelín Drik, in the women’s division, and Damián Gómez and Eblis Veranes, in the men’s division, who were promoted to that rank after the outstanding Noslen Díaz and Jorge Luis Alayo stepped down from the national team, are preparing for this competition.
The Cubans will debut in the second phase, held at Guibia Beach in Santo Domingo, from May 7 to 10, and will participate in the fourth phase, which will take place in Tamaulipas, Mexico, from May 21 to 24, confirmed Osvaldo Idel Martínez, president of the Cuban Volleyball Federation (FCV).
The official indicated that the main objective for both pairs will be the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo, held in Juan Dolio from July 25 to 31, and the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Puerto Rico from November 4 to 9.
