In the hearts and in every action of the MININT combatants he forged with his intelligence and unwavering resolve, the Moncada Barracks attacker, the Granma expeditionary, the Rebel Army fighter in the Sierra Maestra, second-in-command of the Ciro Redondo Invading Column No. 8, and protagonist alongside Che in the Battle of Santa Clara will live forever.
For generations of commanders and officers, his legacy and example instilled in our ranks admiration and respect for the leader who was a protagonist on the front lines of combat, marked by conviction, sacrifice, duty, discipline, consistency, and total dedication to the Party, the Homeland, and its independence.
He earned the admiration of the Cuban people through his unwavering commitment and proven loyalty to the revolutionary cause, to the Commander-in-Chief, and to the General of the Army.
