Court for Sports to Announce Decision on Luis Suarez's appeal

Uruguayan striker of Barcelona Football Club Luis Suarez will know today his future in soccer when the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) reveals its ruling about his case.

Suarez was banned by the Football International Federation Association (FIFA) to participate in 9 games of his national team and suspended from soccer for 4 months, after biting the Italian Giorgio Chiellini in the Brazil World Cup.

Also, the court announced that "at the request of the appellants and with the agreement of FIFA, the CAS has conducted an expedited arbitration procedure."

Suarez, who joined Barcelona after finishing the World Cup in Brazil, would be away from soccer until late October if its sanction, which was considered by FIFA as "exemplary punishment" for his recurring character, is confirmed.
