Buenos Aires, July 4 (Mercopress-RHC) –- Argentinian Economy Minister Axel Kicillof has confirmed that his country would enter talks with mediator 'Special Master' Daniel Pollack over the legal battle currently raging between the nation and holdout hedge funds as 'vulture funds', while clarifying that those funds would not be present.

The minister also said that the team to be sent to New York was still to be decided. “The delegation has not been defined,” he told a press conference convened following his presentation on Thursday before the Organization of American States (OAS).

However 'Special Master' lawyer Pollack, who was designated by Judge Thomas Griesa to mediate negotiations between Argentina and holdout investors, had earlier revealed through a statement that talks between himself and Argentinian delegates would begin next week.

The release states that the mediator “confirmed that the New York attorneys for the Republic of Argentina, Cleary Gottlieb, have advised him that a delegation of high-level Government officials will travel to New York City to meet with Mr. Pollack on Monday, July 7th.”

However it's not clear whether there will be a meeting with representatives from the holdout hedge funds as instructed by Judge Thomas Griesa.
