Gaza City, July 22 (RHC)-- The Palestinian death toll in Gaza has topped 600 as the Israeli siege has entered its third week. Most of those killed are civilians; more than 100 are children.

Israeli tanks and warplanes continue to pound the besieged enclave with sources saying that over 100 Palestinians were killed on Monday alone. The latest casualties bring the number of wounded to over 3,000 Palestinians.

Medical workers are now raising alarm over a humanitarian crisis in Gaza where hospitals are running low on basic medical supplies.

Meanwhile, Palestinian militants claim they have killed over 40 Israeli soldiers since Tel Aviv began its offensive on the besieged Gaza Strip.

Al-Qassam Brigades, which is the military wing of Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, said that its forces killed 15 more Israeli forces in eastern Gaza City on Monday alone. The Palestinian fighters also targeted an Israeli Merkava-4 tank in the east of Gaza City on the same day.

Hamas also fired dozens of rockets into Israel. Warning sirens have sounded in Tel Aviv, Yavne, Gadara, Ashkelon, Ashdod, and many other places.

How can Western governments ignore the holocaust that is occurring in Gaza?
