Havana, August 29 (RHC)-- Cuban cyclist Arlenis Sierra aspires this Sunday to win her second Giro a la Toscana title, as she did in 2019, now as leader after two disputed stages.

According to experts, if two years ago she took the crown after winning the prologue and finishing second in the two competitive days, the Creole rider presents so far a better performance, as she repeated the success in Friday's time trial and won the first stage the day before.

Sierra, captain of the A.R.Monex team, won Saturday's 116.8-kilometer stage starting and finishing in Segromigno in Piano, where she stopped the clocks in 2:53:40 hours, just one second ahead of her closest rival, Lithuanian Rasa Leleivyte.

Behind the leaders was the host Debora Silvestri with a time of two hours, 54 minutes and 10 seconds, identical to that of Poland's Aurela Nerlo.

With her victory, the Cuban born in the eastern Cuban province of Granma, leads the general classification with a time of 2:56:29 hours, valid to outpace Leleivyte and Silvestri, who have respectively 2:56:52 and 2:57:17.
