Havana, July 31 (RHC)-- Cuban cyclist Arlenis Sierra will face this Sunday the eighth and last stage of Le Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, after continuously improving during the famed race, where her team, Movistar Team, holds the overall leader, Dutchwoman Annemiek van Vleuten.

Sierra is in 16th place in the general classification, 21:55 minutes behind Van Vleuten, who accumulates 23:18:31 hours.

The 29-year-old girl, born in the eastern city of Manzanillo, is ahead of legends such as Marianne Vos, multiple Dutch Olympic and world champion in road, track and cyclo-cross, who was displaced the previous day from the top of the table to 21st place, after dominating the competition since Monday.

On this day, the 104 riders from the world's plethora of riders who have withstood the tough challenge across the plains and mountains of France will race a 123.3 kilometer (km) section from Lure to La Super Planche des Belles Filles.

According to the graphic on Movistar Team's official website, the final segment features three significant climbs, with the finish at the end of one of them.

The Tour, which started last Sunday in Paris, will complete 1,033 kilometers today.
