Tottenham salvages a draw against Chelsea in English soccer

Havana, August 15 (RHC)-- With a goal by Harry Kane in stoppage time (90+6), Tottenham managed a 2-2 draw with Chelsea on Sunday in the London derby, corresponding to the second round of the English Football League.

Senegal's Kalidou Koulibaly opened the scoring in the 19th minute before Denmark's Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (68th) temporarily equalized.

The Blues took the lead again on 77 with a Reece James strike, but Spurs grabbed a last-gasp equalizer from a corner, with Kane heading home.

Chelsea's German coach Thomas Tuchel and Tottenham's Italian coach Antonio Conte were involved in an incident at the end of the game in front of the TV cameras.

They first engaged in a tension-filled handshake, before shouting at each other, head to head, and were sent off by referee Anthony Taylor after the final whistle.

In Sunday's other game, Nottingham Forest beat West Ham 1-0 for their first win in the English top flight since 1999, with Nigerian Taiwo Awoniyi scoring (45+1 minutes).

The historic Nottingham club returned to the Premier League this season after a 23-year absence.
