By Orlando González

Havana, October 25 (RHC)-- The Cuban Baseball Elite League starts today at 2:00 p.m. its second sub-series, with the clashes between Tabacaleros vs. Agricultores, Ganaderos vs. Centrales and Cafetaleros vs. Portuarios, with the first mentioned in each case as hosts.

Tabacaleros and Agricultores will have a duel of undefeated teams at the Cristóbal Labra stadium in Isla de la Juventud. Both teams swept Centrales and Portuarios, respectively, in their debut.

The José Ramón Cepero stadium will host the duel between Ganaderos and Centrales. The home team is another of the teams that have not yet lost in the league, as they were victorious in their debut and were unable to play their second game of the weekend against Cafetaleros due to rain. Their opponents will try to do the cross for the first time in the tournament.

On the other hand, the team that wins the match between Cafetaleros and Portuarios will open the winning streak in the tournament, a challenge that will take place at the eastern Major General Calixto García Park in Holguín.

After the weekend's results, Tabacaleros and Agricultores lead the standings with two wins in as many games, escorted by Ganaderos (1-0), Cafetaleros (0-1) and Portuarios and Centrales (0-2).

The champion of the First Elite League of Cuban Baseball will be the representative of the largest of the Antilles in the upcoming Caribbean Series of Venezuela 2023, which will take place from February 2 to 10.
