Havana, November 14 (JIT)-- Two-time Olympic champion Roniel Iglesias and three-time world champion Lazaro Alvarez brought to 17 the consecutive victories of Domadores de Cuba in professional boxing by winning in a bill organized in the city of Rotterdam, in the Netherlands.

In the first incursion of their franchise in such scenarios of the European continent, both fought for six rounds and signed unanimous decisions that responded to the expectations created.

Iglesias, a two-time Olympic champion, stepped into the ring in the 147-pound division and destroyed the undefeated Syrian Alaa Al Mahmoud, who came into the fight with a record of seven wins (4 KO).

Lázaro, triple world champion, defeated local Xavier Kohlen at 135 pounds, whose record included 12 wins (six KOs) and one setback.

This outcome came just days after winning the light welterweight belt at the Cologne 2022 Boxing World Cup in Germany, where Iglesias made his successful debut and was unable to continue competing due to an injury.
