A large number of errors, mainly in serving and attacking, led to the defeat of the Caribbean team, their second in two appearances in the tournament.

Havana, June 8 (RHC)- The men's national team of the Netherlands swept this Thursday in three sets (28-26, 25-23 and 25-18) its similar of Cuba, in the Volleyball Nations League 2023.

Abdel-Aziz Nimir was the main protagonist in the success of the Europeans, scoring 22 points, all of them in attack, seconded by Maarten Van Garderen, who contributed 14, 10 in attack and four in blocking.

For the Cubans, the best offensive player was Jesús Herrera, who scored 12 points, while José Israel Massó and Miguel Ángel López contributed 10 each.

For Cuba it is a painful defeat that leaves them at the bottom of the table so far, with two losses and only one point.

The Netherlands, on the other hand, has its first smile on its face, after losing in its debut in only three sets against the United States.
