Havana, July 7 (RHC)-- Cuban cycling star Arlenis Sierra won her second gold medal at the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games.

To the crown in the individual time trial two days ago, the Cuban cyclist added this Friday the reign in the road with a time of 2:52:13 hours, in the circuit of Jerusalem Avenue.

I had to answer yes or yes, Sierra told reporters about the obstacles during a competition that she described as difficult, as several of her teammates were exhausted from the middle of the course.

I had to defend myself and I never hesitated, added the double title holder in this race that will conclude tomorrow, owner of an extensive track record in regional and world events, and member of the famous Spanish club Movistar Team.

The Cuban had in the women's road as immediate escorts to the Venezuelan Lilibeth Chacón and the Guatemalan (in competition under the flag of Centro Caribe Sports) Jazmín Soto, respective winners of the silver and bronze metals.

On the other hand, Sierra commented that her next competitive commitment will be the Tour de France and also sent a greeting to the followers in Cuba for the permanent support.

I hope everyone is happy, concluded the outstanding cyclist, whose champion lineage shone in San Salvador.
