Havana, September 12 (JIT)-- Cuban cyclist Arlenis Sierra renewed her contract with Spanish club Movistar for three more seasons, the Iberian team said today in a statement.

Sierra, 31 years old, has been a Movistar rider for two seasons, in which she won a stage in the Tour de Romandie and the overall and two in the Vuelta a Andalucía.

However, her role in the team is not as a leader, but in support of other more experienced riders, which could change in this new stage planned until 2026.

In addition to her, the Colombian Paula Patiño is included in the line-up to represent Latin America, and so far 14 riders have been confirmed for next season.

Spain's Sheyla Gutiérrez, Sara Martín, Laura Ruiz and Lucía Ruiz are among the riders who have signed up for the upcoming campaign, along with France's Aude Biannic, Serbia's Jelena Eric and Australia's Sarah Gigante.

Germany's Liane Lippert, Dutch players Floortje Mackaij and Emma Norsgaard, and Britain's Claire Steels have also signed on.
