Havana, February 27 (PL)-- Cubans Filiberto Delgado and Eduardo Perez celebrate today their exaltation to the prestigious Wrestling Hall of Fame of America.

Delgado, current coach of the women's national wrestling team, has been linked to this sport for more than three decades, first at the helm of the Cuban and Italian men's national teams, and now with the women's team, with excellent results at all levels.

For his part, Perez was president of the Cuban Wrestling Federation from 2008 to 2016, and a member of the executive of the Pan American organization of this sport.

In the act of exaltation were raised to immortality a total of 10 people linked to this discipline in different areas: two leaders, three former athletes, an equal number of coaches and two referees.

The ceremony is part of the program of the Pan American Championship and Olympic Qualifier Paris 2024 being held in Mexico.
