Tehran, December 2 (RHC)-- The former president of Iran, Mahmud Ahmadineyad, described Fidel Castro as “a world class leader” whose ideas will remain in history for his defense of political principles and humanistic values.
The Iranian politician visited the Embassy of Cuba in Teheran to sign the Book of Condolences opened upon the passing of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.
Speaking with Cuban Ambassador to Iran Vladimir González, the former Iranian head of state expressed his profound sorrow and recalled that he met Fidel Castro for the last time in 2012, on the occasion of his official visit to Havana.
