In Malaysia, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and his Cabinet have resigned after just 17 months in power

Kuala Lumpur, August 16 (RHC)-- In Malaysia, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and his Cabinet have resigned after just 17 months in power.  Muhyiddin announced he’d be stepping down after losing his majority in Parliament, though he is expected to remain as caretaker prime minister for now. 

Malaysia, along with the rest of the region, is facing an economic crisis triggered by the COVID-10 pandemic.
