Philadelphia, August 19 (RHC)-- Three former Philadelphia homicide detectives have been charged in the wrongful 1993 conviction of Anthony Wright, an African American father who spent 25 years in prison on rape and murder charges -- crimes he did not commit.

The three former police officers are accused of making false statements in the case.  Wright was exonerated by DNA evidence after a retrial in 2016.
