Mexico City, August 27 (RHC)-- Mexican students and teachers staged protests this Thursday in the capital against the return to face-to-face classes, according to information advanced by the National Federation of Revolutionary Students Rafael Ramirez (FNERRR) and the National Coordination of Education Workers (CNTE).

The protest took place at the same time that the results of a survey carried out from August 16 to 21 were released, in which a little more than 90 percent of parents assured that the return to classes in the midst of new variants of COVID-19, represents a high risk.

Of the more than 60,000 parents and guardians consulted nationwide, 81 percent do not agree that the 2021-2022 school year should begin in person.

Meanwhile, from the CNTE (which groups 600,000 workers), warned that under no circumstances will they return to the classroom in person, despite the government's call, because there are no conditions and a permanent risk of lethality prevails due to the presence of the Covid-19.
