Damascus, February 19 (RHC)-- At least five people were killed and 15 others wounded by an Israeli missile attack on Saturday against the residential neighborhood of Kafersousah, in the Syrian capital.

According to reports from local sources to Prensa Latina, the Damascus Central Hospital "Al-Mujtahed" received the bodies of three people killed by the bombardment of Tel Aviv forces against a building.  While at least 13 wounded were admitted to the Al-Moasat teaching assistance center and suffered injuries with shrapnel in the head and extremities.

In addition, a woman was killed by pieces of an Israeli shell intercepted in the al-Mazrah neighborhood in the center of the Syrian capital.

Israel frequently attacks Syrian territory under the pretext of attacking Iranian targets, while Damascus claims that these hostile actions are intended to prolong the war, keep the country unstable and weaken its national army.
