While the Minister of Justice and Security, Gustavo Villatoro, during an appearance on the program Frente a Frente of the Salvadoran Television Corporation, declared that for the 6.2 million Salvadorans the emergency regime is hope and has more than 96 percent support from the population.

The headline explained that the gangs wanted to implement a parallel regime in the country. He also stressed that gang actions had an impact on youth, both girls and boys.
