Argentinian President wants peaceful solution to dispute over Malvinas Islands

Havana, March 28 (RHC) Argentinian President Alberto Fernández requested the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres, his cooperation in a peaceful solution to the sovereignty dispute over the Malvinas Islands.

On multiple occasions, the Argentinian government denounced the United Kingdom's refusal to return to the negotiating table and its failure to comply with UN resolutions on the subject.

A statement from the Argentinian Ministry of Communication and Press, dated in Buenos Aires, refers that Fernández and Guterres met at the headquarters of that organization in New York, and the president insisted on the need to achieve the resumption of talks between the two nations.
