Maduro stated that the Venezuelan government will continue fighting corruption

Havana, March 30 (RHC) Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro reported that authorities have managed to seize part of the ill-gotten wealth of former officials and businessmen arrested for their links to recent cases of corruption, who have taken advantage of the figure denunciation to recount all the facts and identify others responsible for crimes against the national treasury.

He pointed out that the goal is to continue hitting the mafias and reach all those involved in acts of corruption. Furthermore, when recovering stolen goods, properties, resources, money, these should be directed to social programs to meet the needs of Venezuelan families.

The president recalled he has been in charge of this investigation for months, and since then he knew that it was going to be "a blow to the rotten mafias of corruption, but this is just one blow of many more that we will give against the corrupt, wherever they are, whatever they dress and whatever political color they have. We are not going to stop."

Despite the fact that indignation has filled the national government due to today's former officials who betrayed their oath to serve the Venezuelan people, there is a commitment to eradicate the public administration from mafias. Likewise, Maduro directed his purpose of doing justice against the businessmen of the private sector involved in corruption to become powerful. (Source: Venezuelan Television)
