La Paz, May 21 (RHC)-- The president of Bolivia, Luis Arce, asserted this Sunday in the context of the anniversary of Chuquisaca that this department (southeast) is experiencing a reconstruction and economic reactivation.

"In its anniversary month, Chuquisaca has reason to celebrate.  As of March this year, sales in restaurants and supermarkets in this department rose 26 percent and 24 percent, respectively, compared to the same period in 2022, a clear sign of reconstruction and economic recovery," said the president.

As part of the work to enhance the growth of Chuquisaca, the head of state reported that two important vehicular bridges were delivered in the town of Yotala: Lourdes and Mosoj Llajta.

"With this work we not only facilitate the life of our population, but also boost production and trade in the region," added the Bolivian dignitary.

Works for risk reduction and adaptation to climate change were also delivered, as well as an irrigation system in the Chuquisaca municipality of Yamparáez.

Bolivian President Luis Arce has argued that these works are also intended to "mitigate all the risks that come from this climate crisis, it is no longer simply a climate change.  We are talking about a climate crisis, because it is uncontrollable (...)".
