Caracas, May 6 (RHC)-- Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has sent a message to the university students of the United States who have demonstrated, despite police repression, in favor of the Palestinian people and condemn the genocide carried out by Israel in Gaza.

Recently, students from different universities in the U.S. have held peaceful demonstrations to show solidarity with Palestine and call for an end to the Israeli genocide in Gaza.

During a broadcast made on his TikTok social network account, the head of state, together with his wife, Cilia Flores, highlighted that university students “are the pure representation of the feeling of humanity that is coming.”

The president assured that they join the voice of the students and rejected the police repression that has occurred in different universities in the United States.

“In the United States, they raided more than 60 universities.  "They get in, destroy, beat, shoot rubber bullets and the only thing the students do is ask that the United States not support the genocide against the Palestinian people," he said.

The Venezuelan president affirmed that the voice of these students "is our voice and we feel represented by you. Keep going!  To defend the right to life!"

For her part, Cilia Flores, who also serves as a deputy to the National Assembly, recalled that repression against university students in Venzuela was also experienced during administrations before Hugo Chavez.

The Venezuelan president also called to avoid the resurgence of fascism in the world.  "Say no to hate, say no to fascism. Let fascism not re-emerge either in our land or in the world; let the new civilization emerge, the civilization of love so that humanity is human," he said.

President Nicolas Maduro announced that a preventive plan will soon be activated to guarantee the protection and safety of the Venezuelan people before the arrival of the rainy season in the country, as well as the relaunch of the Smile Mission "to support everyone."
