IRGC officer provides update on the tenth phase of Operation True Promise III carried out on Tuesday.
Tehran, June 18 (RHC)-- The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps has announced that it targeted a number of military airbases in the occupied territories in retaliatory strikes on Tuesday.
In a televised statement, an IRGC officer said the airbases that were used to carry out aggression on the Islamic Republic of Iran in recent days were attacked.
The retaliatory attacks were part of the tenth phase of Operation True Promise III, which was launched late on Friday in response to the unprovoked and indiscriminate Israeli aggression on Iran, which claimed the lives of many senior military commanders, nuclear scientists, as well as civilians, including women and children.
The statement described Tuesday’s strikes as “carefully planned and executed” operations against the Israeli regime that has continued its aggression against Iran in recent days.
The IRGC emphasized that the operation is not over, noting that the retaliatory attacks would continue in a "multi-layered, complex, and gradual" manner.
Iranian armed forces have carried out the latest and tenth phase of Operation True Promise III by firing a barrage of missiles and drones toward the occupied territories on Tuesday.
It began at around 7:10 pm local time, following nine previous phases since June 13 that have inflicted heavy strategic blows on the occupying regime.
Operation True Promise III, which was launched on Friday night, is being carried out under the code name “Ya Ali ibn Abi Talib.”
