Caracas, Oct. 17 (teleSUR-RHC) Grassroots groups, aimed at boosting political mobilization in the Venezuelan state of Yaracuy, will activate their patrols supporting the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) on Sunday for a trial run of the forthcoming national parliamentary elections.

The 487 Bolivar Chavez Battle Units (UBCh) are coordinated teams, which originated to defend the Bolivarian Revolution through electoral processes, whose task is to rally round neighborhoods on election day to encourage people to vote for the PSUV when Venezuelans head to the ballot boxes Dec. 6.

“We have a mobilization structure of close to 50,000 activists in the structure of the party, that will seek 200,000 votes that contribute to the victory of the Bolivarian Revolution on Dec. 6,” said Yaracuy state director of PSUV, Carlos Gamarra.

Gamarra, who is running for reelection as delegate of Yaracuy, explained that for the the trial run the UBCh and its patrols will be active in the streets to mobilize other supporters of the PSUV and take them to voting centers, to prove the strength of Chavismo in Yaracuy.

The campaign will center on house to house and visits and community meetings, Gamarra added, with the participation of PSUV’s three circuit and two list candidates.

“We are going to deepen the dream of Comandante Chavez of constructing a socialist Venezuela, and for that it is necessary to reinforce the majority in the National Assembly with votes from the people, with the revolutionary conscience of all those who want to make that dream come true,” Gamarra added.
