Cuban Government Vice President Meets Tight Agenda in Russia

Moscow, October 22 (RHC)-- Cuban Government Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas has met a tight working agenda in Russia, which has focused on new bilateral accords in the areas of energy, metallurgical and the pharmaceutical industries.

Cabrisas talked with Russian authorities and representatives of economic and entrepreneurial sectors involved in the implementation of the accords signed by Presidents Vladimir Putin and Raul Castro in 2014 and during other contacts held this year, according to the Prensa Latina news agency.

On Wednesday, the Cuban government vice president met with the president of KAMAZ automotive group, Serguei Kogoquin, and with the first vice president of Russia´s External Bank, Piotr Fradkov.

The Cuban vice president also held talks with the chief of the Export Credit Agency, Alexei Tiupanov, in what was considered an important occasion in current negotiations to implement joint projects. The meetings considered prospects to modernize the fleet of KAMAZ trucks in Cuba and to establish collaboration between Russia and Cuban banks.

Ricardo Cabrisas was received by Russia's Defense Minister Serguei Shoigu in a meeting that focused on current aspects of bilateral technical and military cooperation between Moscow and Havana.
