Ramallah, December 3 (RHC)-- Israeli forces have razed the home of a Palestinian man in the West Bank after demolishing another Palestinian house in the region in their latest string of violence in the occupied territories.

The Israeli army said on Thursday that troops knocked down Rajeb Aliua's home in Nablus for allegedly masterminding the killing of an Israeli settler couple on October 1st. Palestinian police said Israeli forces entered the city at about 2:00 a.m. and blew up the second-floor apartment.

Israeli troops have demolished several Palestinian houses on similar accusations over the past few months. Human rights groups say the demolitions are an act of collective punishment.

On Wednesday, Israeli regime forces tore down the home of another Palestinian man who killed two officers last year. The home in East Jerusalem belonged to Ibrahim al-Akari who was shot after driving his van into a group of police officers.

Tensions have dramatically escalated since the Israeli regime's imposition of restrictions in August on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East Jerusalem.
