Event in Argentina to Focus on Life and Work of Fidel Castro

Buenos Aires, April 18 (RHC) – An academic event on the life and work of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, will take place next week in the Argentinean capital, Buenos Aires, local media reported.

The event entitled "Fidel's Week", is sponsored by the Buenos Aires-based Cultural Center of Cooperation (CCC) and includes several activities in its schedule, such as a photo exhibition organized by Cuban photographer and son of the Cuban leader, Alex Castro.

The event opens with an inaugural ceremony next Tuesday and the photo exhibition "Fidel: 83 Reasons," which shows pictures, most of them not seen in Argentina, by photographers Osvaldo Salas, Liborio Noval, Roberto Salas, Pablo Caballero and Alex Castro.

Other activities promoted by the prestigious cultural center include the launching of the photography book "Fidel: A History, Five Opinions" and a roundtable discussion on Fidel Castro's revolutionary thinking and his contributions to Latin America's progressive movement and integration.
