Havana, October 15 (RHC)-- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel heads this Thursday the third governmental visit to Santiago de Cuba to evaluate the economic and social results of that province in the east of the country.

With a reduced format and adapted to the 'new normal' and restrictions by COVID-19, the members of the Council of Ministers, in different working groups, will tour the Desalination Plant of Boca de Cabañas, the automation works of Santiago Aqueduct and the investments of Hydraulic Resources in Palma Soriano and in that city.

They will also learn about the work in the main production poles, and exchange with students and workers of the University of the East and the University of Medical Sciences, the EIDE, the Home for children without family protection and in scientific units such as the Laboratory of Molecular Biology and the Center for Applied Electromagnetism.
