Madrid, June 10 (RHC)-- Numerous activities of solidarity with Cuba will take place in Spain starting June 19, demanding the end of the U.S. blockade.

Members of solidarity movements with the Caribbean island and Cubans living in Europe will also close a campaign to raise funds to purchase syringes.

The initiative contemplates sending three million syringes to Cuba, for which the State Movement of Solidarity with Cuba (MESC) is already very close to achieving the goal.

Sodepaz (Solidarity for Development and Peace), the main promoter of the idea, said that more than 215 thousand Euros were raised in Spain. That money guarantees for the time being the acquisition of more than two and a half million syringes for vaccination against Covid-19.

The MESC is confident that on June 23 the goal of three million of these sanitary devices will be reached and even surpassed within a campaign called 'Blockades kill, your solidarity saves lives'.

According to the sources, a virtual meeting of Cubans Living in Europe will be held on Saturday, June 19, from Paris, France, which will ratify the events scheduled for June 20, 22, and 23 in Spain.

The MESC and the Federation of Associations of Cuban Residents in Spain are planning numerous activities throughout the Iberian country, with a Caravan Against the Blockade in Vallecas, Madrid on the 20th.

Likewise, similar meetings will be held in Tudela, Navarra, Basque Country, Andalusia, Canary Islands, Catalonia, and Galicia, among others, with a grand closing in Madrid's Puerta del Sol
