President hails Cuba's largest mass organization

Havana, Sep 28 (RHC) On Tuesday, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel saluted Cuba's largest mass organization, the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR), which are celebrating their 61st anniversary.

 

In his Twitter account, the president wrote that the CDRs are present in every block as managers of the Revolution.

 

Díaz-Canel highlated the role of this mass organization in "times of unity, solidarity, participation".

 

He pointed out that the Caribbean nation is undergoing a process of transformation and praised the work of the national coordinator of the CDRs, Gerardo Hernández, who holds the title of Hero of the Republic of Cuba for merits achieved in the fight against terrorism and unjust imprisonment in the United States.
