Cuba rejects any manifestation of gender-based violence

Havana, November 2 (RHC)-- The Days for Non-Violence against Women and Girls is being held in Cuba until December 10, emphasizing the message "Zero Tolerance to Gender Violence."

Yaneidys Pérez, a member of the National Secretariat of the Federation of Cuban Women, announced that among the activities are the inauguration of the Counseling Centers for the treatment of violence in the Houses of Orientation for Women and the Family, to guide and accompany those who experience this scourge.

She added that there will be a day of women's activism against the blockade and imperialism, cantatas, virtual forums, and community awareness workshops.

Pérez stressed the importance of the Advancement of Women  National Program, which summarizes the feelings and political will of the Cuban State and constitutes the cornerstone in the development of policies in favor of women.
