Cuba's Foreign Minister expresses condolences to Haiti for deaths after explosion

Havana, December 14 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez expressed condolences to the people and government of Haiti for the deaths and injuries following the explosion of a tanker truck in Cap-Haitien (Cap Haitien).

Through his Twitter account, the foreign minister extended his condolences to the families and relatives of the victims.

The explosion of a tanker carrying fuel left more than fifty people dead in that locality in the north of the country.

Prime Minister Ariel Henry regretted the events and announced three days of national mourning in honor of the victims.

He also announced that field hospitals would be deployed in the region to provide the necessary attention to dozens of wounded and offered condolences to their families and friends.

The explosion left about twenty houses destroyed.
