Vietnamese President ratifies unconditional support to Cuba

Manuel Marrero and Vietnamese President

Havana, Oct 1 (RHC) On the occasion of Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero´s official visit to Vietnam, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, assured that in any circumstance Vietnam will stand by Cuba's side.

 

The Cuban Presidency said on Twitter that the meeting took place as an expression of the strong ties that unite both nations.

 

As reported on the same social network by the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam, Xuan Phuc also

stressed that the friendship between the two countries is based on the legacy of historic leaders Fidel Castro and Ho Chi Minh.

 

Meanwhile, Marrero highlighted the fraternal relations between Cubans and Vietnamese, and their history of solidarity and brotherhood over the years, which continues and strengthens.

 

In official talks, Marrero conveyed greetings from Army General Raul Castro Ruz and Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, while thanking the warm welcome and hospitality of the Vietnamese people on his first visit to the Asian country.

 

This visit of the Cuban head of government, which will last until October 2, is part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between Cuba and Vietnam, and the 50th anniversary of the first visit of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, to that Southeast Asian country in 1973.
